Meet Robert De Niro’s newborn!
The actor shared his 1-month-old daughter Gia Virginia Chen-De Niro’s name and sex with Gayle King on Thursday, three days after revealing her arrival.
The journalist, 68, shared a photo of the little one on “CBS Mornings,” clarifying that Gia was born on April 6.
The infant was 8 pounds and 6 ounces at the time.
King told viewers that, according to Robert, the 79-year-old’s seventh baby was “planned” with partner Tiffany Chen.
“They both wanted this baby,” she explained. “They’re over the moon. She was brought here in love. He’s very psyched about it.”
Robert spilled the beans to ET Canada on Monday when the outlet stated he had six kids — daughter Drena, 51, son Raphael, 46, twin sons Aaron and Julian, 27, son Elliot, 25, and daughter Helen, 11.
The “Taxi Driver” star, who shares two children each with exes Diahnne Abbott, Toukie Smith and Grace Hightower, corrected the reporter, saying he “just had a[nother] baby.”
His rep confirmed the news to Pvnew the following day.
While Robert didn’t address the identity of the child’s mother at the time, he was photographed out to dinner with visibly pregnant Chen in March 2023.
The couple have been romantically linked since they were spotted holding hands on a France trip in 2021, three years after his and Hightower’s divorce.
The duo have a “sweet” relationship, Robert’s “about My Father” co-star Kim Catrall told Extra at the movie’s premiere Tuesday.
“His significant other, Tiffany is such a beautiful woman,” the “Sex and the City” alum gushed. “I’m happy for both of them.”
That same evening, Robert told Pvnew that his latest addition was not a surprise, asking, “How could you not plan that kind of thing?”
