Britney Spears’ rebound from Justin Timberlake was Colin Farrell.
The pop star details her steamy tryst with the actor in a newly released excerpt from her highly anticipated memoir, “The Woman in Me,” which hits stores Oct. 24.
In the passage, which was obtained by Time, Spears says she was set up with Farrell — who was filming the 2003 action-thriller “S.W.A.T.” at the time — in 2002 by a “club promoter friend.”
According to the Grammy winner, 41, she visited the movie star on set before the pair began “a two-week brawl.”
“Brawl is the only word for it — we were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight,” she writes.
Spears recalled not feeling healed from her recent breakup with Timberlake, 42, when she attended the premiere of Farrell’s 2003 film “The Recruit.”
“As I had before when I’d felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet,” she pens.
At the premiere, Farrell, 47, told reporters that the two were “not dating.”
“She’s a sweet, sweet girl. There’s nothing going on — just mates,” he said at the time, reportedly prompting Spears to leave the event “as soon as the paparazzi were gone.”
However, she later confirmed the duo’s whirlwind romance was “nothing serious,” telling W Magazine, “Yes, I kissed him… He’s the cutest, hottest thing in the world — wooh!”
According to Time, Spears’ book does not delve into the end of her fling with Farrell; however, she admits that “for a brief moment in time,” she “did think there could be something there.”
“The disappointments in my romantic life were just one part of how isolated I became,” she laments.
“I felt so awkward all the time.”
In another excerpt from the tell-all, Spears describes feeling “devastated” after Timberlake ended their three-year relationship via text message.
“I was comatose in Louisiana, and he was happily running around Hollywood,” she shares.
The “Toxic” songstress also calls out the media for portraying her as a “harlot who’d broken the heart of America’s golden boy” after the *NSYNC frontman infamously implied in his “Cry Me a River” music video that she had cheated on him.
She does, however, cop to being unfaithful, writing that she “made out” with dancer Wade Robson at a bar one night.
But Spears claims Timberlake stepped out on her, too — with an unnamed celebrity.
She also alleges that she got an abortion in 2000 after becoming pregnant with the “Mirrors” singer’s baby.
Spears writes that Timberlake “definitely wasn’t happy” about the “surprise” and “was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father” that she ended up having the “agonizing” procedure when she was 19.
“I’m sure people will hate me for this, but I agreed not to have the baby,” she shares.
“I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it.”
