Kate Middleton, Prince William and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh coordinated in blue looks for today’s Buckingham Palace Garden Party, with the Princess of Wales wearing an Elie Saab outfit for the elegant occasion.
The 41-year-old princess brought back one of her biggest fashion hits for today’s party, wearing the same pussy bow blouse and tulle skirt she sported at Royal Ascot in 2019.
Her blouse, which is a modified version of a short-sleeved piece from Saab’s 2019 resort collection, features a tie-neck and sheer sleeves with embroidered swiss dots and lace accents.
The swishy tulle skirt is also covered embroidered dots, and Middleton wore the same floral hat she donned at Ascot for today’s party.
She swapped out the $4,920 blue topaz and diamond earrings by Kiki McDonough that she wore in 2019 in favor of a different blue topaz style by the jewelry designer, wearing the brand’s large blue hoops with diamond accents ($4,416).
The mom of three kept her silver accessories the same, wearing metallic leather Gianvito Rossi pumps ($745) and carrying a matching studded clutch by Elie Saab.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Edinburgh, 58 — who is married to Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh — also went with a blue Ascot repeat, sporting the same Suzannah lace dress ($1,628) she wore to the horse racing event last year.
Her husband, 59, looked dapper in a morning suit and top hat for the event, with Prince William, 40, sporting the same look but with a blue tie to match Middleton’s outfit.
While King Charles III and Queen Camilla were likely recovering from the weekend’s coronation festivities, the Waleses and Edinburghs stepped in to host today’s party, with the Prince Richard and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester and Princess Anne also joining in the fun.
Today’s outdoor fête follows five days of patriotic fashion for the Princess of Wales, with the royal wearing red, white and blue looks throughout the long weekend to celebrate the coronation.
From the red Eponine London coat she wore to greet fans outside a London pub to the blue Self-Portrait dress ($510) at Friday’s Buckingham Palace reception, Middleton represented the Union Jack in her outfits — and topped it all off with her white Alexander McQueen coronation gown.
Although the celebrations have officially come to an end, we’re hopeful to see more of Middleton’s spring style in the coming days.
