Britney Spears dedicates her new memoir to her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, amid their estrangement, Pvnew can exclusively /confirm/i.
The Princess of Pop writes at the beginning of “The Woman in Me,” which hits stores on Oct. 24, that her “boys” are the “loves of [her] life,” a publishing insider tells us.
Pvnew previously confirmed that Spears, 41, has not seen Preston, 18, or Jayden, 17, in nearly two years.
The teens also chose to skip their mother’s June 2022 wedding to Sam Asghari, who has since filed for divorce from the Grammy winner.
However, sources recently told us that Spears, Preston and Jayden began texting again prior to the kids moving to Hawaii with their father, Kevin Federline, in August.
We also reported that the “Lucky” singer has discussed her book — in which she reveals she had an abortion in 2000 with her then-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, among other bombshells — with her children.
The tension between Spears, Preston and Jayden first came to light in August 2022 when Federline, 45, claimed in an interview that his ex-wife’s frequently nude Instagram posts had driven a wedge between her and their sons.
“I can’t imagine how it feels to be a teenager, having to go to high school. Who knows how many people ask them about it or talk to them about it?” the DJ, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, told the UK’s ITV News.
“I try to explain to them, ‘Look, maybe that’s just another way she tries to express herself,’ but that doesn’t take away from the fact of what it does to them. It’s tough.”
Jayden also spoke out at the time, saying he did not believe Spears had showed him and Preston “equal love,” which made him “feel really bad” for his big brother.
The “Crossroads” star responded to the “hateful” interview by writing on Instagram that she needed “unconditional love and support” from her boys after failing to get it from the rest of her family during her 13-year conservatorship.
once the drama died down, Spears extended a public olive branch to both Preston and Jayden, sharing throwback photos of the kids before they left their home state of California with their mom’s consent.
