Alyssa Farah Griffin slams Jada Pinkett Smith for ‘oversharing’ Will drama: Not ‘in tune with his feelings’

Alyssa Farah Griffin doesn’t agree with Jada Pinkett Smith’s decision to air out her and Will Smith’s dirty laundry.

The “View” co-host, 34, said on the talk show’s “Behind the Table” podcast Tuesday that she always admired the married actors for their accolades but just couldn’t “understand why they don’t want to protect that.”

Griffin added of Pinkett Smith, 52, in particular, “I think she needs to be more in tune with [Smith’s] feelings.”

The “Girls Trip” star revealed last week that she and the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” alum had been secretly separated for seven years.

Many were shocked by the revelation since Smith, 55, had publicly defended Pinkett Smith at the 2022 Oscars by infamously slapping Chris Rock and caught a lot of flack for his heated response.

Griffin also called out the “Bad Moms” actress for refusing to file for divorce — despite leading a separate life from her estranged husband.

“It’s also OK to admit a marriage didn’t work,” the former White House press secretary said.

“That’s what I guess I’m struck by, like, if you’re dating other people, you’re not doing any of the things that are ‘marriage,’ why not just go ahead [and file]… there shouldn’t be a stigma to divorce.”

Griffin admitted that being a co-host on “The View” sometimes requires her to dish about her own personal life, but the TV personality said she makes an effort to “check” her instincts.

“I would never say something that would hurt my husband or that would embarrass him or that would put him in an uncomfortable position,” she added.

Griffin’s co-host Ana Navarro agreed last week that Pinkett Smith should not have divulged so many intimate details about her marriage and accused the mother of two of doing it for a cash grab.

“I think she’s having a relationship with her bank account because every time she needs to increase the ratings of the ‘Red Table [Talk]’, every time she needs to sell books, she drops these bombshells,” Navarro, 51, said on “The View” on Oct. 11.

“I find it unseemly and I will tell you this, ‘Be careful of anybody who pretends to have a perfect marriage.’”

Meanwhile, Smith appears unbothered by his estranged wife’s unfiltered press tour amid the release of her memoir, “Worthy.“

Earlier this week, he posted on Instagram a video of himself sleeping on a boat and captioned it, “Notifications off :),” which Pinkett Smith commented on with crying-laughing emojis.

The “Pursuit of Happyness” star also told the New York Times of the confessions, “When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in.”

“And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties,” he said, adding that the revelations “woke [him] up.”
