Habaner-oh-no!
Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos spilled the beans on one of their friends having an unfortunate accident that resulted in burned private parts.
During Wednesday’s “Live with Kelly and Mark,” the married co-hosts got on the topic of spicy peppers after their executive producer bought out a bowl of habaneros.
Ripa was going to attempt to try a viral trend, in which people rub the hot peppers on their lips to make them appear bigger.
However, Consuelos urged Ripa to not participate in the trend, calling it “very dangerous.”
“once you touch these things, and you touch something else…,” he said, while pointing to several parts of his body.
Consuelos, 52, added that the peppers are “very irritating” and can even be “very, very dangerous.”
“Yes, remember when Kyle made his guacamole and accidentally touched the spicy peppers?” Ripa, 53, asked.
Consuelos then interrupted his wife and chimed in, “And then he touched his no-no place!”
“That was the day the barbecue was canceled,” Ripa concluded.
The husband-wife co-hosts didn’t elaborate on who their friend Kyle was or share any more details from the mishap. Ripa also opted out of using them as a plumper.
While Ripa and Consuelos may not have been talking about their own private parts, they have never shied away from sharing their own NSFW stories.
Last month, the lovebirds were discussing popular dating show “Naked Attraction” – which shows nude contestants – when Ripa gushed about her husband’s penis size.
“I could tell you were starting to feel really good about yourself,” Ripa said at the time.
Consuelos returned the favor the very next episode when praising his wife’s “perfect” body after she joked she doesn’t have “actual breasts.”
Prior to that, Ripa revealed that she “made eye contact” with her daughter, Lola, then 8, while she was having sex with Consuelos on a family vacation to Italy.
“The same thing happened eight years later on her 16th birthday,” Ripa added on an August episode of her podcast, “Let’s Talk Off Camera.” “Same exact thing. She threw the door open.”
The power couple, who tied the knot in 1996, have been hosting the popular ABC daytime talk show ever since Consuelos replaced Ryan Seacrest in April.
“Live with Kelly and Mark” airs weekdays at 9 a.m. ET on ABC.
