She’s keeping Princess Diana close.
Meghan Markle may have skipped King Charles III’s coronation, but she’s still representing the royal family.
The Duchess of Sussex, 41, had some relaxation time as she was spotted on a hike near her Montecito, Calif., home Sunday without husband Prince Harry or children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
For the outdoor occasion, she wore a black tank top and leggings with Merrell hiking boots, a fedora, a bandana around her neck, Victoria Beckham sunglasses and piles of meaningful jewelry.
Markle most notably sported Diana’s Cartier watch — which she wears nearly every day — along with a Bentley & Skinner diamond tennis bracelet, which Charles is believed to have gifted his late ex-wife.
The bracelet is clearly meaningful for the former actress, as she has worn it on many big occasions, including her infamous 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview. Plus, two diamonds from the accessory were used to create Markle’s three-stone engagement ring in 2017.
Besides the sentimental jewelry, the mother of two piled on a Cartier Love bracelet ($7,350) and a Jennifer Meyer tennis bracelet ($3,000) — a trio she often pairs together.
As for her neck, Markle sported a Maya Brenner x Abigail Spencer necklace designed by her former “Suits” co-star. The crystal trinket ($495), called “The Clarity Retreat Necklace,” was created to help “see your way through any challenges,” according to the brand’s website, and is made with clear quartz.
“It’s meant to help you manifest what you want in life and let go of anything that’s not working. A subtle wearable crystal piece to protect your peace…so every day can be your retreat,” the description reads.
The necklace holds a ton of symbolism for Markle, who was said to have skipped out on the coronation weekend’s events in order to “protect her peace,” according to royal biographer Omid Scobie.
While Harry, 38, made a very brief appearance in the third row at Westminster Abbey while his father was officially crowned king Saturday, Markle stayed home in the United States to celebrate Archie’s 4th birthday after much debate about whether the couple would head to the UK.
Harry left directly after the ceremony and headed back to be with his family, as he was not invited to take part in many of activities over the weekend.
