The 1975 frontman Matty Healy made headlines for his rumored romance with Taylor Swift following her breakup from Joe Alwyn.
However, prior to allegedly dating the 12-time Grammy winner, he had rumored romances with quite a few lovely ladies, including Halsey, Gabriella Brooks and FKA Twigs.

Aliana Lohan
Around the same time he first sparked romance rumors with Swift in 2014, there were also rumblings that Healy was romantically linked to Lindsay Lohan’s younger sister, Ali Lohan.
Radar online reported at the time that the two were “hooking up” in December of that year after meeting through Ali’s famed sister.
“Ali always thought he was super hot and was really into his music,” a source previously told the outlet. “So she started going to all his shows, and they started hooking up on and off.”
The duo never confirmed their relationship nor have either one of them addressed the speculation since then.
Halsey
The “Robbers” singer was linked to Halsey in 2015 after she was spotted at one of The 1975’s concerts and collaborated with the band for their song “Ghosts.”
Fans speculated that one of Halsey’s most famous songs “Colors” – from her 2015 album “Badlands” – was also about Healy.
In the hit song, Halsey sings, “Your little brother never tells you but he loves you so /
You said your mother only smiled on her TV show.” Healy’s mom is an actress, and he also has a younger brother, Louis Healy.
However, Halsey never revealed who she was specifically referencing but teased it was about a romantic partner.
“My song ‘Colors’ is about being in a relationship with someone and kind of watching the vibrancy slowly start to leak out of them, watch the colors start to fade, whether they’re falling victim to drugs or falling victim to work or any sort of negative behavior that’s kind of taking them away from the bright and lively person that they used to be,” Halsey said on SiriusXM’s show “HitBound” in 2016.
Neither Halsey nor Healy ever publicly confirmed their relationship.
Gabriella Brooks
Healy’s longest relationship was with Gabriella Brooks from 2015 to 2019.
In August 2019, the Sun reported that the model dumped the musician after she “grew tired of his constant partying.”
“He parties a lot at home when he’s there and Gabby had just had enough. She doesn’t want to lead her life like that,” a source told the outlet at the time.
The “Happiness” singer seemed to confirm the reason for the split in a 2020 interview with the Guardian.
“My 20s was f–king chaos and I didn’t live a domestic life so there are lots of things I’ve just not learned. I’m not emotionally very mature,” he said at the time.
“There have been times when it does damage my relationship and I ask myself: ‘Why do I value my career so much?’ I’m trying to relinquish that idea. I want to have a period in my life when I’m not conflicted about it.”
Brooks has since moved on with Liam Hemsworth, whom she began dating shortly after she and Healy called it quits.
The “Last Song” actor and model were first photographed together in December 2019.
Despite initial reports that Brooks and Hemsworth called it quits in August 2022, they shut down romance rumors two months later and celebrated his birthday in January.
FKA Twigs
Healy and FKA Twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, were first spotted together at RuPaul’s DragCon UK event in January 2020, per E! News.
The two confirmed their relationship and went Instagram-official just one month later when Healy shared a snap of them at the NME Awards.
Healy and Twigs – who previously dated Shia LaBeouf – split in June 2022 after they allegedly struggled with making their relationship work post-pandemic.
“There was no massive row or fallout,” a source told the Sun at the time. “When lockdown ended they both found themselves pulled in different directions with work commitments. The whole thing is still very raw and naturally she is upset but she’s got her friends around her who are supporting her.”
Fans have speculated that The 1975’s song “I’m In Love With You” – a single released in September 2022 from their album “Being Funny in a Foreign Language” – is about Twigs.
Charlotte Briar D’Alessio
Just before romance rumors about Healy and Swift spread, he was linked to Canadian model and influencer Charlotte Briar D’Alessio in December 2022.
A source told the Sun at the time that the two had “been quietly dating for a number of weeks and are head over heels for each other.”
“It is early days and they are taking things slowly but it is clear to everyone who knows Matty how keen he is on her,” the insider claimed.
The source seemed confident that they’d go public together in “a matter of time,” but it doesn’t appear that the two ever went Instagram-official.
Healy and D’Alessio have not addressed the rumored relationship, and it’s unclear if or why they split.
Taylor Swift
The British crooner and the “Blank Space” songstress initially sparked romance rumors in the fall of 2014, when they were each spotted publicly supporting each other.
Healy confirmed at the time that they’d been hanging out, teasing to Australia’s “Shazam Top 20,” “We exchanged numbers. Let’s see what happens.”
The rocker later slammed the relationship reports as “fake” in January 2015 – around the same time he was rumored to be with Halsey.
More than eight years later, Healy and Swift have reportedly reconnected.
A source gushed to the Sun that despite being in the “super-early” stages of dating, they’re already “madly in love.”
“Both Matty and Taylor have been touring over the past few weeks, so it’s been a lot of FaceTiming and texting, but she cannot wait to see him again,” the insider claimed.
Healy would mark Swift’s first public romance since she and Alwyn broke up after six years together.
“It wasn’t dramatic,” a source previously told Pvnew of the split. “[The relationship] just ran its course.”
