Meghan McCain wants more modesty.
The former “The View” co-host slammed Gwyneth Paltrow, Meghan Trainor and other A-listers whose sex confessions have been making headlines as of late.
In a Daily Mail column published Thursday, McCain, 38, called Paltrow, 50, “one of many celebrities who suddenly think that it’s appropriate to share their private sexual business with the world,” referencing the actress’ “Call Her Daddy” interview earlier this week.
While speaking to podcast host Alexandra Cooper, Paltrow compared her exes Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck’s skills in the bedroom.
The Goop founder called Affleck, 50, “technically excellent” after gushing over her “major chemistry” with Pitt, 59.
“I get it,” McCain wrote of the admission. “Men have done this since the beginning of time. They brag about their conquests and compare their partners, but that doesn’t make it right for Paltrow to do it before an audience of millions.
“She knew what she was getting into,” continued the former “Outnumbered” co-host, who is married to writer Ben Domenech. “This podcast frequently veers into the intimate and even vulgar. … Is she not aware of the phrase TMI?”
McCain felt the same about 29-year-old Trainor’s recent “raunchy tales” about struggling to have sex with her “big boy” husband, Daryl Sabara, due to her vaginismus, which is defined by involuntary tensing of the vagina.
“I’m truly sorry that you’re having trouble Meghan, but it is your problem,” the columnist wrote.
As for Rachel Bilson’s “Women on Top” podcast episode Wednesday, McCain noted that the “O.C.” alum’s favorite sex positions “sound dangerous.”
Notably, Bilson, 41, said that she prefers the missionary position and also enjoys being “f–king manhandled.”
Before wrapping up her column with calls for a less “pornified” America, McCain threw shade at Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ for the numerous NSFW stories they have shared over the years.
The journalist listed what she has learned “against [her] will” about their “bedroom escapades,” from Ripa, 52, passing out during sex with Consuelos, also 52, to the couple hooking up at Andy Cohen’s Fire Island home.
“This ABC porny-couple is only outdone by their ABC News-counterpart George Stephanopolous and his wife Ali Wentworth,” she added, blasting the latter for revealing in 2018 that she has sex with her husband twice a day.
“Whatever happens behind closed doors is your business and that’s the point,” McCain concluded.
“Strong women are confident in their sexuality. But that doesn’t mean that they should be pushed and prodded by society into wearing in on their sleeves. Self-control is the first step toward self-respect.”
