The rumor mill went wild with claims that Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are dating after The 1975 singer’s mom, Denise Welch, posted a pic with Swift backstage at a concert.
Healy’s mother, a famous UK actress, was all smiles in a January Instagram post as she tightly held the “Anti-Hero” songstress at The 02 music venue in London.
“Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin!!” Welch, 64, captioned the carousel post featuring Swift — who made a surprise appearance during The 1975’s set.
Naturally, fans went wild with their theories, speculating that the sweet snap could be a clue that Swift was getting closer to Welch’s son.
The Sun reported Wednesday that Swift, 33, and Healy, 34, were connected romantically after an insider claimed that they are “madly in love,” despite only allegedly dating for two months.
“It’s super-early days, but it feels right,” the source alleged. “They first dated, very briefly, almost 10 years ago but the timings just didn’t work out.”
Sparking dating rumors in 2014, the “Chocolate” crooner was spotted showing off a white T-shirt featuring the cover artwork for Swift’s album “1989” during his rock band’s show at The Rave in Milwaukee.
Not long after, Swift was seen returning some of the T-shirt love in Los Angeles — wearing a black shirt advertising The 1975 — after attending the music group’s show in SoCal.
As for Swift’s split from Joe Alwyn — which Pvnew confirmed earlier this month — the insider claimed that the six-year relationship actually ended in February, so there was “absolutely no crossover.”
Swift and Healy have yet to publicly comment on their rumored love. However, The Sun’s source further claimed that Healy is “flying to Nashville over the weekend” to attend Swift’s Eras Tour.
As for Healy’s exes, the singer has previously dated model Gabriella Brooks and fellow singer FKA Twigs.
