Garcelle Beauvais confirmed that Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky’s marriage was on the rocks before announcing their separation in September.
“I knew they were having a hard time,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star revealed on Friday’s episode of “Today With Hoda & Jenna.”
Beauvais, however, had no idea Richards and Umanksy were going to separate.
“I was just as shocked as everybody in terms of, like, the separation,” she explained to co-hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. “I knew there were some things going on but the separation was shocking to me.”
She added that she knows the split is especially difficult for her “Housewives” co-star — who was spotted without her wedding ring this week — because “family is everything” to her.
Richards, 54, and the “Buying Beverly Hills” realtor, 53, tied the knot in January 1997 and share three biological children.
Umanksy confirmed they are no longer together on Sept. 29.
“Kyle and I are human beings, OK? We have emotions, we have feelings, we’re going through a really hard time, OK?” he told TMZ.
“We are currently separated, we are not talking about divorce and we’re trying to deal with this stuff internally with ourselves privately.”
His admission came after Pvnew reported that he and Richards had been “separated for a while” and after both attempted to shut down “untrue” divorce chatter in July.
However, they did admit they were facing the “most challenging” time of their marriage via a joint Instagram post. They also confirmed there had been no “wrongdoing on anyone’s part.”
Their marriage had previously been subject to rumors of infidelity on Richards’ part.
Fans believe the Bravolebrity has been romantically involved with country singer Morgan Wade following their several outings together, including an “intimate” coffee date in Paris.
They have denied dating rumors — although their matching tattoos and rings have not helped squash the speculation.
Despite their separation, Richards has continued to show support for her estranged husband by rooting him on as he competes on “Dancing With the Stars.”
She not only watched him live at the Season 32 premiere of the show but also asked her fans to vote for him.
Umansky hinted that their marriage is not completely done, telling Pvnew exclusively that they are “not throwing in the towel yet.”
