This princess is following in her mom’s fashion footsteps.
Kate Middleton shared a new photo she took of Princess Charlotte for her 8th birthday on Instagram yesterday, and in the pic, the young royal wears a blue-and-white striped sweater that echoes her mom’s classic style.
Charlotte — who hugs the family’s dog, Orla in the sweet snap — wears a puffed-sleeve knit top ($41, originally $59) from one of her mom’s favorite brands, Boden.
The textured sweater features a soft chevron-style pattern and even resembles a sweater the Princess of Wales, 41, wore during a 2020 Zoom call.
The mom of three sported the Tabitha Webb style while she and Prince William, 40, were carrying out remote engagements during the COVID-19 pandemic, but she’s worn many a blue-and-white striped style over the years.
Middleton is also a devoted Boden fan, wearing everything from pointed black ballet flats to a brown leather belt from the high street retailer.
The stripey sweater isn’t the only birthday look Charlotte donned this week; the young princess wore a pretty white floral sundress ($98) from Trotters (and showed off her missing teeth) in another snap her mom shared on Instagram.
Along with celebrating her birthday, Princess Charlotte is having quite a busy week as her grandfather, King Charles III’s, coronation approaches on Saturday.
The royal — who wore a white cardigan with a blue floral Rachel Riley dress ($85) — attended a rehearsal for the event this morning, joining her parents and brothers Prince George, 9, and Prince Louis, 5, for the run-through at Westminster Abbey.
As for Saturday, we’ll see if Charlotte follows in mom Kate Middleton’s footsteps once again with another matching moment.
