Jennifer Lopez is feeling the burn of parenting two teenagers with rebellious sides.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer said on the “Today” show Wednesday that her twins, Max and Emme, whom she shares with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, have been “giving it” to her now that they are 15 years old.
“They’re becoming adults. They are challenging everything in life. They’re looking at everything,” she told Hoda Kotb while promoting her upcoming action film, “The Mother.”
Kotb — who was absent from “Today” in February and March while her daughter Hope, 3, was hospitalized — expressed to Lopez, 53, that she felt their generation “followed the rules” in comparison to younger generations.
Agreeing with the broadcast journalist, J.Lo exclaimed, “[Max and Emme] don’t!”
“They’re, like, challenging everything and looking at everything. Which is great, for our world,” the multihyphenate continued. “I think they’re going to change the world, to be quite honest — oh, and make it so much better, so much better than what we did.”
Lopez’s family expanded in July 2022 when she married Ben Affleck, who shares daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina 14, and son Samuel, 11, with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
Gushing over her new husband, the “Selena” actress shared that her children “love” the actor, 50, adding that he is both a “wonderful father” and “father figure.”
“He’s fantastic. He really steps up to the challenge of what that is and what that means,” she said, “and they love him, and they appreciate him, and so do I.”
