That’s haute.
Paris Hilton made a dramatic entrance at her first-ever Met Gala on Monday, hitting the 2023 event’s red carpet wearing an elegant black leather gown by Marc Jacobs.
Her long-sleeved, off-the-shoulder dress featured a sparkling neckline and long sleeves with built-in gloves, with the look trailing off into a dramatic train.
Wearing the dress with a pair of black glittery platform heels, Hilton posed up a storm for her debut on the Met steps.
Marc Jacobs told Vogue on the red carpet that he thought “it would be interesting and exciting to see her in a black gown” since the TV personality is known for her love of bright colors.
She wore her blond hair in a high ponytail, adding sparkling diamond stud earrings.
Last week, Pvnew Style confirmed the “Simple Life” star would be making her Met debut this year; she was invited by Vogue and her designer date, as first reported by TMZ.
It’s fitting that Hilton would be in attendance at the “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty”-themed fête, as she was friendly with the late Chanel creative director.

In addition to wearing Chanel multiple times over the years, the heiress-turned-entrepreneur posed with Lagerfeld at a 2006 Dom Perignon party celebrating his collaboration with the champagne brand.
Tonight, she paid tribute to the legendary designer with her black floral ribbon choker, mimicking Lagerfeld’s signature black tie while telling Vogue he was “such an inspiration” to her.
While this marks Paris’ first Met, her sister, Nicky, previously attended in 2001.
In 2022’s “Anna: The Biography,” author Amy Odell detailed how Vogue boss Anna Wintour — who’s overseen practically every aspect of the Met Gala since 1995 — crafted each year’s guest list based on who in the industry is “in” and “out.”
“Some are always ‘out’ — low-performing assistants, the Met’s event planners who tell her she can’t hang a dropped ceiling over a priceless statue, the Hilton sisters,” Odell wrote.
Clearly, however, Hilton finally managed to cross over from “out” to “in” in Wintour’s eyes — much like her friend and former employee, Kim Kardashian.
