All eyes are on the girls — Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan that is — as the latest albums and songs charts reveal career-best numbers for all three artists.
Nearly six albums into her career, Carpenter makes Hot 100 history with her new single “Please Please Please” debuting at No. 2, and her summery single “Espresso” lifting to a new height at No. 3. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter becomes the first solo act in the history of the 66-year-old Billboard chart to land two simultaneous top-three hits. Carpenter joins the Beatles in notching two concurrent top-three hits since the group was the first act to achieve the landmark in February of 1964 with “I Want To Hold Your Hand” and “She Loves You,” as noted by Billboard.
