Nicola Coughlanrecently told People magazine that body-shaming trolls claiming Netflix has photoshopped her waist to appear skinnier on “Bridgerton” are entirely misinformed. While it’s true her body shape might be changing, that’s only because of the amount of corsets Coughlan has been required to wear over the course of filming three seasons of the Netflix smash hit.
“I think if you wear corsetry for long enough, your body really molds to it,” Coughlan said in response to the claims. “Sometimes they come in a fitting for a fashion designer and they put a corset on me and I’m like, ‘Oh, you can go tight,’ and they go, ‘What do you mean?’ I’m like, ‘My body now will go whew.’”
