How to Watch the ‘Frasier’ Reboot Online

Although it’s been nearly 20 years since the series finale of “Frasier” in 2004, the witty and verbose psychiatrist Frasier Crane is back with a new comedy series that’s simply titled “Frasier” in 2023.

Its first two episodes drop on Paramount+ on Oct. 12, and will broadcast in a one-hour block on CBS a day later on Oct. 17. However, if you don’t want to wait, you can watch the new “Frasier” right now for free, when you sign up for a 7-day free trial for Paramount+.

After the trial is up, you can either cancel the streaming service altogether, or you can keep watching for $5.99/month for the basic ad-supported plan. But, if you want to go ad-free, it goes for $11.99/month, with programming from Showtime added to your subscription at no additional cost.

And if you want to re-watch the entire original series, then you’re in luck. All 11 seasons of “Frasier” are available to stream on Paramount+, too.

Developed by Chris Harris (“How I Met Your Mother”) and Joe Cristalli (“Life in Pieces”), “Frasier” is about a now-retired Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) returning to Boston from Chicago to re-connect with his estranged son Frederick (Jack Cutmore-Scott) after spending years apart.

The cast also features Nicholas Lyndhurst, Anders Keith, Jess Salgueiro, Toks Olagundoye and others. Meanwhile, Bebe Neuwirth and Peri Gilpin will appear in guest-star roles as Lilith Sternin from “Cheers” and Roz Doyle from the original “Frasier,” respectively.

The “Frasier” reboot has been in the works since it was officially announced in Feb. 2021, while it appears to have received mostly positive reviews from critics.

In fact, PvNew TV critic Aramide Tinubu penned in her review, “Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel of a legendary character, ‘Frasier’ 2.0 leans toward everything that made the ’90s sitcom such a staple — not only of the era, but of the fabric of television as a whole. If fans are looking for something new, they won’t find it here, but there is something so charming about dusting off and polishing up a past relic that makes it as refreshing as you remembered it.”
