WarnerChappell Music, the publishing arm ofWarnerMusic Group, has named David Woirhaye as the company’s new executive vice president and global chief financial officer, effectively immediately. In his new role, he will report into Guy Moot, Co-Chair and CEO and Carianne Marshall, Co-Chair and COO. According to the announcement, in partnership withWarnerChappell’s leadership team, Woirhaye will be focused on providing financial guidance and support to the global business in orderto maximize growth.

Woirhaye originally joinedWarnerMusic Group in 2005. He spent the last five years as senior VP and CFO of WMG’s Rhino Entertainment, where he worked extensively on the long and complex “Stairway to Heaven” court battle, which was ultimately decided in Led Zeppelin’s favor. According to the announcement, he helped steer Rhino through intense deal negotiations and established a strong financial infrastructure that accelerated growth, among other responsibilities.
