Drake and Morgan Wallen get their just due from a pair of vindictive exes in the video for “You Broke My Heart,” the latest single off of the former’s “For All the Dogs Scary Hours Edition.”
In the Theo Skudra-directed clip, the pair cheers leaving behind a cursed relationship while sitting at a restaurant.“I didn’t like her. I think she might have been the wrong girl anyway,” says Wallen. “Well, what now?” responds Drake. Wallen retorts: “You tell me. I’m kind of glad she gone.”
As the pair leave the establishment, they hop into a car and begin to drive away, with Drake in the driver’s seat. Cut to two women — Grace Matthews and Taylor Morris — who hit a button and blow up the vehicle in the distance, rapping along to the track as they dance around the wreckage.
Wallen’s appearance in the video comes on the heels of something of an image rehabilitation following the use of racial epithets in a leaked video two years ago. But in the wake of the incident, his career continued to slope upwards. Following the release of his album “One Thing at a Time” in March, it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making it his second No. 1 album on the tally, and all 36 tracks from the project made the Hot 100, beating Drake’s record for most concurrent songs on the chart that he set in 2018.
Drake initially released the lengthy “For All the Dogs” in October, and tacked on an additional six tracks as an EP for the “Scary Hours Edition” the following month. It marks the third “Scary Hours” in his discography, following the release of the first two installments in 2018 and 2021.
