Gordo and Drake have released the video for their recent duet “Healing,” one of two collaborations featured on the former’s new album “Diamante.”

Though neither artist appears in the video, Gordo explained in the YouTube caption that he wanted to focus it on The Don Madfunz, someone he came across on TikTok while scrolling.

“His taste in music grabbed my attention, but it was his dancing, smile and story that really hooked me,” wrote Gordo. “The Don would walk 9 miles to work every single day despite the weather or his personal safety… he risked it all for his family… and dreamed one day of his very slow walk being over and finally being able to own a car for himself so he can provide for his family.”Gordo and Drake Surprise Family With Car in Heartwarming Video for ‘Healing’

Gordo stated that he couldn’t stop thinking about Don when thinking of the treatment for the “Healing” video, so he tapped director Theo Skudra to capture a day in Don’s life. Though Gordo was not on set, the video captures Don’s everyday life in Dududu, and ends with Gordo surprising him and his family with a car of his own.

“With this video, I wanted to show that Don’s positive attitude and joyful spirit are something we can all learn from, no matter what we’re going through,” wrote Gordo. “His story is a reminder that even when life gets tough, you can still find reasons to smile. I hope this video touches your hearts like it did mine.”

Gordo, formerly known as Carnage, has worked extensively with Drake over the past few years. He produced five songs on the rapper’s “Honestly Nevermind” including “Sticky” and “Massive,” and contributed to last year’s “For All the Dogs” on the songs “Gently” and “Rich Baby Daddy.”
