E!’s “House of Villains” has become the cabler’s most-watched new series since 2020’s “The Bradshaw Bunch” with 730,000 total viewers — 327,000 of that figure being in the 18-49 key demo — across all platforms which includes E!, Bravo, Syfy, USA, VOD, NBCU cable apps, and YouTube in L+7 viewership figures, per Nielsen.
For context, “The Bradshaw Bunch” averaged a total audience of 622,000 viewers in the 18-49 demo and 1.5 million total viewers across platforms over the course of seven days during its first season.
As PvNew previously reported, the show’s Oct. 12 premiere drew in 1.2 million viewers over the course of seven days of multiplatform viewing. This statistic accounts for viewing across across all platforms — a 203% increase from the 572,000 total viewers Live+Same Day figure, which, at the time, marked the greatest L+7 lift for any E! series this season.
That growth becomes even more apparent when looking at the rise in viewership over the course of the season. Episode 7, which aired on Nov. 30, recorded 616,000 total viewers over the course of three days across platforms, making it a series high on E! when excluding the premiere episode’s simulcast data. That statistic reflects a 120% lift in the 18-49 demo and 123% in total viewers on linear through 3-day viewing from the premiere episode, a 46% lift in the demo and a 59% increase in total viewers across platforms thru 3-Days. This data doesn’t reflect simulcast figures.
It’s also worth noting that 46% of the show’s audience were among the 18-49 demo on a Live+3 new episode basis, making the series the network’s youngest-skewing series in 3 years.
The series follows 10 notorious reality TV villains — each hailing from some of the most popular unscripted television franchises — as they meet their match. They must outsmart, out-manipulate and out-scheme each other through a series of challenges in order to win a $200,000 cash prize and the title of “America’s Ultimate Supervillain.” Each week the contestants compete in a battle-royale challenge that tests their physical, mental and emotional strength. The winner of the challenge is safe from elimination and at the end of the week one villain is sent home. It’s the battle of the century as alliances are made, trusts are broken and the villains scheme their way to the top.
“House of Villains” is hosted by Joel McHale and produced by Irwin Entertainment. John Irwin, Dave Kuba, Eli Frankel and Matt Odgers executive produce.
The series airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on E!
