‘Good Burger 2’ Stars Kenan Thompson, Kel Mitchell to Ride in Burgermobile at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell will taking a ride in the Burgermobile this Thanksgiving.

PvNew has learned exclusively that the comedy duo, who star in the upcoming film “Good Burger 2,” will be onboard when the Burgermobile from the film takes part in the 97th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

It was previously announced that the iconic car would be part of the parade, though Thompson and Mitchell’s participation was not known at that time. The car is described as weighing over 5,000 pounds, with a burger hood and french fry bumper. It can be seen in the teaser trailer for the film, which can be viewed below.

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin airing on NBC at 8:30am ET and streaming on Peacock.

“Good Burger 2” will debut on Paramount+ on Nov. 22. It serves as a followup to the beloved Nickelodeon film in which Mitchell and Thompson starred after Mitchell originated the character of Good Burger’s most loyal employee, Ed, on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy show “All That.”

Along with Thompson and Mitchell, the cast for the sequel includes Lil Rel Howery, Jillian Bell, Kamaia Fairburn, Alex R. Hibbert, Fabrizio Guido, Elizabeth Hinkler and Emily Hinkler as Cindy and Mindy, and Anabel Graetz as Ruth. The film will also feature original “Good Burger” cast members Josh Server, Lori Beth Denberg, and Carmen Electra.

Nickelodeon Studios is producing the film. Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who co-wrote the original film and worked on “All That”, serve as writers and executive producers on the sequel. James III is also a writer on the film. Phil Traill serves as director.

Both Thompson and Mitchell are producers, while John Ryan Jr. of Artists for Artists serves as an executive producer. Production of the movie for Nickelodeon Studios is overseen by Shauna Phelan and Zack Olin, co-heads of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. Brittany Cope serves as Nickelodeon’s executive in charge of production.
