The cast of “The Umbrella Academy” Season 4 has offered fans their first taste of the Netflix show’s final season.
“The Umbrella Academy” was renewed for a fourth and final season back in August 2022, around two months after the debut of Season 3. In a video released as part of Netflix’s Geeked Week 2023, which can be seen below, the cast shares what fans can expect with the last season.
Elliot Page (Viktor) says to watch out for “excitement, surprises” and “humor,” while Aidan Gallagher (Five) says they can expect “us in marketing material try and dance around getting people excited without saying anything new.”
David Castañeda (Diego) says the new season is “still very, very wacky” and Emmy Raver-Lampman (Allison) says it is “really, really packed with the classic ‘Umbrella Academy’ family nonsense and shenanigans that you look forward to.”
Tom Hopper (Luther) says the final season hits the ground running and puts the Hargreeves siblings through “the usual amount of mayhem,” as Justin H. Min (Ben) says it is “sexy. Sexy’s always one of my words so I’m going to continue to use it.”
Finally, Robert Sheehan (Klaus) sums it all up by saying, “Fans, expect nothing and you will gain everything.”
Netflix did not comment on an episode count for Season 4, but multiple sources say the final season will be shorter than the 10-episode seasons the show has done in the past. The show is based on the graphic novels of the same name written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. It follows a family of adopted siblings with superpowers who find themselves trying to stop the end of the world…a few times.
Steve Blackman created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Jesse McKeown set to serve as executive producer and co-showrunner. Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Scott Stuber and Beau Bauman also serve as executive producers on the show, Way and Bá co-executive producing. UCP is the studio.
