Stars arrived at music’s biggest night in style, sporting jewel tones, patterned suits, feathers and florals.
Since the Grammys are foregoing their usual large crowd due to the COVID-19 pandemic, tonight’s stars, presenters and performers will serve as the show’s audience. First-time Grammy producer Ben Winston tells PvNew that there will be five in-the-round stages, four for performers and one for presenters, with the night’s guests surrounding each.
Even with a smaller audience, the Grammys still held an in-person red carpet, and the stars of the music world showed up in their Sunday best. Brandi Carlile, who is nominated for two Grammys, sported a black-and-silver suit custom made by Wolk Morais, complete with a Fallon necklace and Chloe boots. Song of the year nominee H.E.R. wore all purple velvet, including her sunglasses, and performer Maren Morris also opted for purple in a lavender gown.
Best new artist nominees Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion stood out in lime green and neon orange dresses, respectively, while Trevor Noah kept it simple in a dashing classic tux. Harry Styles stole the night in a purple feather boa and “Clueless”-esque yellow plaid jacket, and Taylor Swift wore a pretty floral dress that seemed like the perfect mix of her “Lover” and “Folklore” eras.
