FX has set the premiere date for Ryan Murphy‘s new horror drama series “Grotesquerie.”
The 10-episode series will debut on FX on Sept. 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT and stream the next day on Hulu. It will be available internationally on Disney+ at a later date.
The show was first revealed to be in the works back in February when Murphy posted a teaser for it on his Instagram account.
The cast includes Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Raven Goodwin, and Travis Kelce.

The official description for the series states:
“A series of heinous crimes have unsettled a small community. Detective Lois Tryon (Nash-Betts) feels these crimes are eerily personal, as if someone—or something—is taunting her. At home, Lois grapples with a strained relationship with her daughter, a husband in long-term hospital care and her own inner demons. With no leads and unsure of where to turn, she accepts the help of Sister Megan (Diamond), a nun and journalist with the Catholic Guardian. Sister Megan, with her own difficult past, has seen the worst of humanity, yet she still believes in its capacity for good. Lois, on the other hand, fears the world is succumbing to evil. As Lois and Sister Megan string together clues, they find themselves ensnared in a sinister web that only seems to raise more questions than answers.”
Vance will play Marshall Tryon, while Manville will play Nurse Redd, Chavez will play Father Charlie, and Goodwin will play Merritt Tryon.
The series was created by Murphy along with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. All three serve as executive producers along with Alexis Martin Woodall, Max Winkler, Nash-Betts, Vance, Peter Liguori, Nissa Diederich, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson. Murphy is also a director on the series along with Winkler, Martin Woodall, and Elegance Bratton. 20th Television is the studio.
With this premiere date, Murphy will have five shows on the air this fall. In addition to “Grotesquerie,” he also has both “9-1-1” and “Doctor Odyssey” at ABC (both launching on Sept. 26), “9-1-1: Lone Star” at Fox (Sept. 23), and “American Sports Story: Aaron Hernandez” at FX (Sept. 17).
