It’s a family reunion at the Emmys, as Eugene and Dan Levy are in talks to host the 76th kudocast on ABC, taking place Sept. 15 at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles.
The father-son duo, who co-created “Schitt’s Creek” and each won Emmys for it, are currently in negotiations with the Television Academy, and a deal has not yet been struck, sources tell PvNew. Neither the Television Academy, nor representatives for the Levys, returned PvNew‘s request for comment.
Eugene and Dan Levy have presented together at awards ceremonies, including the 2020 SAG Awards, and once guest-hosted “Ellen” as a duo.

In their six-season CBC comedy “Schitt’s Creek,” they played father and son Johnny and David Rose, whose family, after an embezzlement scheme, is forced to move out of their mansion and into a motel in Schitt’s Creek, a town they once bought as a joke.
The series earned 15 Emmy nods for its final season in 2020, with wins for outstanding comedy series, writing for a comedy series, directing for a comedy series and supporting actor in a comedy series for Dan Levy.
Since “Schitt’s Creek,” Dan Levy went on to write, direct, produce and star in the Netflix movie “Good Grief,” as well as appear in Jerry Seinfeld’s Pop-Tart comedy “Unfrosted” and the final seasons of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Sex Education.”
Known for his roles in “A Mighty Wind,” “Waiting for Guffman” and “American Pie,” Eugene Levy hosts a travel series titled “The Reluctant Traveler” on Apple TV+, and he also joined the cast of Hulu’s “only Murders in the Building” for its fourth season.
The 76th Emmy Awards are produced by Jesse Collins, Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay, and directed by Alex Rudzinski.
