Ken Jeong is expanding his Fox footprint. “The Masked Singer” panelist and “I Can See Your Voice” host will also be seen on an episode next season of the network’s crime anthology series “Accused.”
Jeong will star in the episode “Eugene’s Story,” in which he’ll play a “kind-hearted jewelry store owner who confronts his wife’s secret past.” The episode will be directed by Michael Chiklis, repping a reunion between the two: Jeong appeared in Season 6 of FX’s “The Shield,” which starred Chiklis. (This reps the second time Chiklis has directed an episode of “Accused”; the actor will also once again appear in front of the camera, just as he did in Season 1.)

Jeong joins a roster of actors for Season 2 of “Accused” that also includes his “The Masked Singer” daddy, host Nick Cannon. Other thesps tapped for upcoming roles are Felicity Huffman, William H. Macy, Taylor Schilling, Justin Chambers, Patrick J. Adams and Danny Pino.
Howard Gordon is behind “Accused,” which is based on a BBC series. The show will return for Season 2 on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. ET.
Each episode features a different cast and storyline, as a defendant’s point of view is told through flashbacks. The show’s Season 1 cast included Michael Chiklis, Abigail Breslin, Whitney Cummings, Margo Martindale, Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Wendell Pierce, Rachel Bilson, Jack Davenport, Molly Parker, Rhea Perlman, Betsy Brandt, Keith Carradine, Aisha Dee and Jason Ritter.
Sony Pictures Television and Fox Entertainment are behind “Accused,” which is exec produced by Gordon, Daniel Pearle, Alex Gansa, David Shore and Erin Gunn. Gordon and Pearle serve as co-showrunners. Milan Cheylov, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, All3Media America’s Jacob Cohen-Holmes, Jimmy McGovern, Sita Williams, Roxy Spencer and Louise Pedersen for All3Media International also serve as executive producers.
Jeong’s busy lineup will include Kevin Smith’s “The 4:30 Movie,” which opens Sept. 13. Recent roles include “Spy: The Eternal City,” which premiered on July 19 on Prime Video; Apple TV+’s comedy “The Afterparty,” Charlie Day’s “Fool’s Paradise,” Mike Meyers’ “The Pentaverate,” Will Arnett’s “Murderville,” and more. He’ll appear in the upcoming “Community” movie as well; Jeong is also known for his Netflix standup special “You Complete Me, Ho,” “The Hangover” franchise, “Crazy Ruch Asians,” “Pineapple Express,” “Step Brothers” and much more.
Chiklis will next be see in the football drama “The Senior”; most recently, he starred in the streaming series “Hotel Cocaine” and the HBO drama “Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty.” Films include “Don’t Look Up” and the “Fantastic Four” franchise.
