MIGRANT MOSAIC

A trailer has been unveiled for “My Melbourne,” an anthology film showcasing diverse immigrant experiences in Australia’s cultural capital. The project, backed by VicScreen and Screen Australia, brings together four acclaimed Indian directors with emerging filmmakers to explore themes of identity and belonging. The film will open the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM, Aug. 15-25).

The anthology features four segments, each centered on a different aspect of diversity. Onir directs “Nandini,” co-directed by William Duan, which follows a queer Indian man reconnecting with his father. “Jules,” directed by Arif Ali with Imtiaz Ali as creative director and co-directed by Tammy Yang, depicts an unlikely friendship between a newlywed and a homeless individual.Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Rima Das and Onir’s IFFM Opener ‘My Melbourne’ Unveils Trailer – Global Bulletin

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has named Ritesh Khosla as its new general counsel, effective Sept. 1.
