“Solar Opposites” has been renewed for Season 6 at Hulu. The announcement was made during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
The cast of the show also revealed during the panel that the show will release a Halloween special on Hulu later this year. Season 5 of “Solar Opposites” is due to debut on Aug. 12.
The trailer for Season 5 can be seen below.
The adult animated series follows a family of aliens who stuck on Earth. The main voice cast consists of Dan Stevens, Thomas Middleditch, Mary Mack, and Sean Giambrone. The official description for Season 5 states, “Now that alien mission partners Terry (Middleditch) and Korvo (Stevens) are married, the whole ‘Solar Opposites’ team are focused on family values.”
The series is executive produced by Mike McMahan, Josh Bycel and Sydney Ryan, and produced by 20th Television Animation.

Stevens took over voicing Korvo from series co-creator Justin Roiland in 2023. Roiland was fired from the show in January of that year after it was revealed he was being charged with domestic violence, though the charges against him were dismissed in March.
Hulu has few other adult animated series on its slate at present. The streamer most recently launched the 10-episode second season of “Hit-Monkey,” based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. All 10 episodes dropped on July 15. Past Hulu animated shows include “MODOK,” “The Awesomes,” and “Crossing Swords.” The streamer is making a stronger push into live comedy, however, with the launch of a new stand up comedy hub that will launch with a new Jim Gaffigan special in November.
