BADSHAH BREAKS BILLION BARRIER
Indian rapper Badshah has reached a milestone with his 2016 hit “Kala Chashma” surpassing 1 billion views on YouTube. The song, featuring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra from the film “Baar Baar Dekho,” marks the first time an Indian rapper has achieved this feat. The achievement comes weeks before Badshah’s scheduled headlining performance at the Mirchi Fest in the Netherlands.
Badshah expressed gratitude for the milestone, stating, “It’s a testament to the incredible support and love I’ve received from my fans.” He views the achievement as a sign of growing acceptance for Indian hip-hop globally.

RED CARPET ROLLOUT
Italian production firm Blu Yazmine has acquired the local rights to Nippon TV’s hitunscripted game show“Red Carpet Survival.”The Italian production, comprising30-to-60-minute episodes,was filmed near Milan and is set to stream on Prime Video Italy in 2025.
“Red Carpet Survival”is a high-energy game show where contestants act as bodyguards who must safely escort a celebrity VIP. Their mission is to make the VIP stay on the red carpet that stretches out to their destination no matter what. Itinvolves suffering physical blows and surviving a series of traps such as huge explosions, attacks by robots and crocodiles secretly setin their path.

TWO INTO ONE
The Asia Video Industry Association (AVIA) and the Korean Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) haveagreed to integrate their two trade events set to take place in South Korea at the end of next month.
AVIA’sKorea in Viewconfab will beintegrated into BCWW, the annual global broadcasting content convention organized by KOCCA. BCWW will runAug. 27-29at COEXinSeoul.
KOCCA will support AVIA in the planning and promotion of Korea in View, while AVIA will do likewise for other sessions within the main BCWW conference program.
