Monica has signed with WME in all areas, PvNewhas learned exclusively.
The Grammy award-winning singer and actor signs with WME in the lead-up to her new R&B album, “MDA” (formerly “Trenches”), as well as a new country album “Open Roads,” with the latter being executive produced by Brandi Carlile. In a press release, WME confirms both projects are due for release later this year.
Monica said she’s “filled with immense joy” in rejoining WME, since the talent agency represented her in the early days of her career.
“I’m truly excited about this full circle moment to reconnect with WME since that’s where it all started for me with my debut album, ‘Miss Thang!,'” she said in a statement. “My heart is filled with immense joy as I reunite with my first talent agency for the upcoming 30th anniversary of ‘Miss Thang.’ I’m grateful, humbled and immeasurably thrilled about the possibilities of this reunion! Their exceptional track record and knowledge regarding my brand, both past and present, makes them the perfect partner for myself as an artist, and MonDeenise Productions as a whole. I look forward to working closely with their incredible team and exploring new opportunities.”

In 2019, Monica launched her own label, MonDeenise Music, with the first single release “Commitment” peaking at No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart.
