Republic Recordshas appointedDavidWolterandMiles Beardas co-heads of East and West Coast A&R respectively, as announced Monday by label president and chief creative officerWendy Goldstein.
According to the announcement, WolterandBeardwill “spearhead, develop and leadA&R for theRepublic Recordsroster in partnership with a host of ventures and strategic alliances and in tandem with Republic RecordsEVP Danielle Price,”who spearheads the company’s hip-hop/ R&B A&R team.
Wolterhas worked closely with Conan Gray, Greta Van Fleet (on the Laval imprint) andMiranda Lambert, and recently signedLivingstone, the Dare,Zoe Kravitz, and others toRepublic. Prior to joiningthe company in 2022, he served as EVP ofVirgin RecordsatCapitol Music Group for five years. Earlier, atRCA Records, he signedJack Antonoff’s solo project Bleachers as well as Walk the Moon,Elle King, and others.WhileatVirgin Recordsfrom 1997 through 2007, he signed Gorillaz.

Beardhelped create a strategic alliance with Mavin to support Afrobeats superstarAyra Starr and works closely with theJonas Brothers, Stray Kids (on the JYP label), TXT (on HYBE),and others to be announced.
His signings include Charlie Puth,Alec Benjaminand others, and he has worked closely withDavid Guetta,Jason Derulo,Pitbull, as well as songwriters Lowell, Riley Mcdonough, Johnny Goldsteinand others. Before joiningRepublicin 2022,he spent a decade at APG and worked extensively as a DJ.
