Multi-hyphenate Elsa Majimbo has signed with Gersh for representation in all areas. The 23-year-old Kenyan comedian, author, content creator and chess champion boasts millions of followers across her social media channels.
Majimbo rose to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic, posting humorous monologues (frequently featuring herself munching on potato chips and wearing sunglasses). Since then, she has launched herself into the world of fashion and beauty, notably becoming the first and only comedian to collaborate with Maison Valentino.
Majimbo has earned a plethora of global endorsements (including one from the late Virgil Abloh) as she’s hosted the British Fashion Awards red carpet, fronted high fashion couture campaigns and collaborated with brands like Fenty Beauty and Mac Cosmetics.

Majimbo’s accolades include GQ Comedian of the Year, the Entertainer Award at the Forbes Women Awards, Harvard Vanguard Award, E! People’s Choice Award, and a YouTube Streamy Award. She’s also been featured on lists including Rolling Stone’s Top 20 Most Influential Creators, Forbes’ Top 49 Creators, and EBONY 100.
She is also a 15-time chess champion, including 5 nationals. “When you’re playing chess, it’s all about the long game. And if your opponent is equally as clever as you, you have to be really clever in everything you do. Even if the brand or company approaching you makes it seem like it’s something you need or something you want — that’s when the end game comes in,” she told Forbes in 2020.
Majimbo made her film debut this year in “Bitter Leaf,” a short film produced by Lena Waithe which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.
In addition to Gersh, Majimbo is represented by Mohamed Kheir at Objectively Good Management.
