TikTok star Sabrina Brier is writing and narrating an audiobook, titled “That Friend,” which will be released by Simon & Schuster in early 2025.
Described as “singular and hilarious,” “That Friend” follows an aspiring NYC influencer whose advice podcast takes off while her actual life falls apart. According to the press release, the story will explore “painfully relatable” relationship dynamics — and what it means to be young and fabulous in New York City. It will launch on Jan. 28, 2025.
“I’m so excited to offer a fresh, new landing spot for my incredible fans to be able to experience my work,” Brier said in a statement. “‘That Friend’ works so well in audio because the setting, New York, is a city of multitaskers. It really appealed to me to work in a format that moves with you as you go about your day. The whole premise of ‘That Friend’ is really about the listener and the shared experience of being able to laugh at the complexity and intensity of loving other people.”
