Lionsgate has upped Chase Brisbin to exec VP of international SVOD sales and head of global channels. The news was announced Tuesday by Lionsgate’s worldwide TV distribution prexy Jim Packer.
“Chase is a respected and forward-looking executive with a strong grasp of emerging trends in the global marketplace,” Packer said in a statement. “As the distribution landscape continues to evolve, her perspective and expertise make her the natural choice to lead our global FAST business while continuing her oversight of our International SVOD business.”
In the expanded role, Brisbin will manage Lionsgate’s more than two dozen FAST channels worldwide, including MovieSphere, which Lionsgate noted is the first FAST channel to be ranked by Nielsen. She will also handle licensing and distribution of Lionsgate’s 20,000-title film & television library, which includes Starz original series, a slate of feature films and TV series.
Brisbin was previously exec VP of international television & digital distribution. She has spent 12 years at Lionsgate, working in various divisions including digital home entertainment, domestic sales and international streaming. At Lionsgate, she helped open new international markets for the company with strategic film output deals and first run series sales such as “The Continental” outside of the U.S. to Amazon Prime. She has also led efforts to expand the company’s footprint of international FAST partners, and will now focus on that business globally.
