Australia and U.S.-based animation group Flying Bark Productions is set to become more multinational with the opening of a new production studio in Madrid, Spain.
Flying Bark Productions, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belgian medi and theme park group Studio 100 is known for producing premium CGI and traditional 2D animated series and feature films, as both an independent producer and servicing international studios and platforms including Disney, Marvel, and Nickelodeon. It currently has some 600 staff.
To set up the Madrid studio, Flying Bark is partnering with Ramon Giráldez, an experienced studio supervisor, who is a key figure in the Spanish animation industry.
