Brian Weinstein has been named co-CEO of 3 Arts Entertainment and senior advisor to the office of the CEO at Lionsgate.
As co-CEO of 3 Arts, Weinstein joins the leadership team in managing the company’s operations and extending its capabilities into synergistic new areas. Lionsgate increased its majority equity investment in 3 Arts in January 2024.
In his role as senior advisor to the office of the CEO at Lionsgate, he will work closely with Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer and the rest of the studio’s management team to help spearhead growth initiatives for its other businesses.

Prior to joining Lionsgate, Weinstein served as president and COO of Bad Robot, formed by filmmaker J.J. Abrams. During his tenure, he helped lead the company’s expansion and diversification, shepherded its strategic partnership with Warner Bros. and spearheaded the launch and growth of a portfolio of new businesses including video games, animation, docuseries, live theatrical, podcasting, music and consumer.
Previously, he was Head of Global Client Strategy at CAA, leading the agency’s efforts to maximize value, generate revenue and oversee business development in all areas for its most prolific and entrepreneurial clients. Prior to that, he was a corporate associate at the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom.
Weinstein holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. degree from Columbia Law School. He currently serves on the boards of directors of Excel Sports Media, SoccerPost and the Angel City FC, where he was a founding investor and partner. He is also co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of the nonprofit organization The Opportunity Network.
