For the first time, FX‘s “The Bear” will air on FX. The hit series, which streams on Hulu, will air its first season on the cable network with a special marathon beginning on Sunday, June 2.
Each night, two episodes will air, beginning at 10 p.m. ET. for four nights; the penultimate and Season 1 finale will wrap up the marathon on Wednesday, June 5.
The first season, which took home 10 Emmy awards, is led by Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Created by Christopher Storer, the first season dropped in June 2022 with the second following suit in 2023.
The series follows a young chef, Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Allen White), who takes over his brother’s sandwich shop after his death, with the help of his cousin Richie (Moss-Bachrach) and sous chef Sydney (Edebiri). With themes of food, family, grief and friendships, “The Bear” has become a massive success since its debut. Season 2 picked up with Carmy, Sydney and Richie attempting to transform the sandwich shop into a fine dining restaurant. Lionel Boyce, Matty Matheson, Liza Colón-Zayas, Oliver Platt and Abby Elliott also star.

Season 2 featured cameos by Jamie Lee Curtis, John Mulaney, Sarah Paulson, Jon Bernthal, Will Poulter, Gillian Jacobs, Bob Odenkirk, Olivia Colman, Sarah Ramos, Donnie Madia, Joel McHale and Alex Moffat.
When the second season dropped on Hulu, it became FX’s most-watched Hulu premiere, seeing a 70% increase in hours streamed in the first four days. The number was beaten this year by FX’s “Shogun,” but the series was also available to stream on Disney+.
On June 27, the third season, consisting of 10 episodes, will be available to stream on Hulu.
In February, FX boss John Landgraf addressed the fact that “The Bear” could stay in the conversation longer with a weekly drop. At first, he explained, that due to how anxiety-inducing the series could be, it was intentional to drop them all at once to get to the happy ending. And now, there are no plans to shift that.
“When we came back for Season 2, we debated, since we knew now that we had a hit, can we milk it a little bit? Can we roll it out over weeks, more ‘Bear’ is better? We then thought that’s a rotten thing to do, to change it up for the audience,” he said. “The way that Chris makes it, even though the episodes are separate, there’s a whole vibe to every season so we decided not to change what we had already set in motion and I have no doubt that we’ll keep doing it because we did it in the past. Even if we could, I don’t think we’d change it now.”
