No, there won’t be a second season of “Normal People.”

But, the stars of the hit romantic miniseries, Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones, are reuniting for a good cause.

Mescal and Edgar-Jones are raffling off tickets to a special marathon screening of “Normal People” on the big screen. The two of them will attend the event, taking place June 16 at a Central London cinema, as well as director Lenny Abrahamson, producer Ed Guiney and other “friends from the show.”

Proceeds will benefit Pieta, a suicide and self-harm prevention charity based in Ireland, as well as UNICEF. More information, as well as the link to buy tickets, can be found here.

Mescal and Edgar-Jones caused havoc on the internet on Tuesday when they posted a selfie together with the caption, “We’ve got some news to share!! Watch this space.” Element Pictures, the producer of “Normal People,” also reposted the picture, causing widespread rumors that the announcement was something related to the show.

Released in 2020, “Normal People” struck a chord during the COVID-19 lockdown with its heartbreaking tale of two lovers who just can’t make it work. The series follows outcast Marianne (Edgar-Jones) and high-achieving Connell (Mescal) and their relationship throughout secondary school and in university at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.

Since starring in “Normal People,” the careers of both Mescal and Edgar-Jones have exploded. Mescal made a splash with film roles in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter,” Charlotte Wells’ “Aftersun” and Andrew Haigh’s “All of Us Strangers,” and is set to star in the upcoming “Gladiator” sequel as well as Richard linklater’s film imagining of the musical “Merrily We Roll Along.” Edgar-Jones, on the other hand, had another starring TV turn alongside Andrew Garfield in “Under the Banner of Heaven,” earned critical acclaim for her role in the film adaptation of “Where the Crawdads Sing” and will next be seen in the remake of “Twisters” alongside fellow in-demand actor Glen Powell.
