Mallory Wanecque, the breakout actor of “The Worst Ones” who headlines Cannes competition title “Beating Hearts,” is starring alongside Sami Bouajila (“Through the Fire”) in “Vultures,” a thriller directed by Peter Dourountzis (“Rascal”).
Produced by Mediawan-owned 24-25 Films (“Black Box”), “Vultures” is represented internationally by Ginger & Fed, the new international film sales arm of Federation Studios headed by former TF1 Studio bossSabine Chemaly. The cast is completed by Sami Bouajila (“Through the Fire”), Jean-Pierre Darroussin (“All Your Faces”), Pierre Lottin (“The Night of the 12th”) and Valerie Donzelli (“Declaration of War”).
“Vultures” will be delivered during the second quarter of 2025. Bouajila stars as Samuel, a journalist who partners with his intern daughter Ava to cover the brutal murder of a young girl that lead them to a male supremacist group headed by the enigmatic Nemesis. The movie marks Dourountzis’ follow-up to “Rascal,” an edgy film starring Pierre Deladonchamps as an outsider-turned-killer.

“It’s a thriller but it’s also a film about a reconciliation between a father and his daughter, and it delivers a fascinating glimpse into the world of journalism,” Chemaly said.
Ginger & Fed is also selling “Million Dollar Madness,” Gregoire Vigneron’s comedy produced by well-established banner Curiosa Films (“The Taste of Things”) and starringChristian Clavier(“Serial (Bad) Weddings”). Chemaly described it as a “race-against-the-clock comedy with a moral dimension.”
and “Present Perfect,” a bittersweet family comedystarring Chantal Lauby, Gerard Darmon, Camille Lellouche and Melanie Doutey. Currently in post, “Present Perfect” was directed by Raphaele Moussafir with the collaboration of Christophe Offenstein (“Little White Lies”). Karé Productions (“The Dandelions”) is producing the film which will be released by Warner Bros France in Oct. 2024. “Million Dollar Madness” will be released by Apollo Films in the first quarter of 2025.
