Allison Russell already had a fairly full year set out ahead of her, with the opening slot on a Hozier tour that continues in arenas through the end of September. Now she’s announced she will quickly follow that with a headlining tour of theaters, with Kara Jackson as her opener, beginning a month after she gets off the road from the Hozier outing.
The “All Returners Tour” — named for her sophomore solo album, 2023’s “The Returner” — begins Oct. 25 in Burlington, VT and wraps up Nov. 17 in Austin, TX. Stops along the way include shows at L.A.’s Belasco on Nov. 12, New York’s Webster Hall on Oct. 28, the Fillmore in San Francisco Nov. 11, Philadelphia’s Theatre of Living Arts Oct. 30, and Washington’s 9:30 Club on Halloween night.
See below for a full list of dates, including Russell’s shows opening for Hozier and Tyler Childers and festival appearances as well as the headlining tour.

Russell appears on Hozier’s new EP, singing the song “Wildflower & Barley,” a number they perform together each night on his tour. In kind, he appeared on her “Returner” album, lending harmony to the song “Requiem.”
Russell was just named as a nominee for artist of the year at the Americana Honors & Awards, which take place in Nashville in September. (The singer will not be on hand, as she will be in the middle of a three-night stand with Hozier at L.A.’s Forum at the time.) That nomination comes on the heels of this year’s Grammys, where Russell was nominated for four awards and picked up a win for best American roots performance.
In a recent interview with PvNew, Hozier said of enlisting her for a duet, “I had sort of recorded (‘Wildflower & Barley’) as a duet, even in the demo form, but I didn’t have somebody to sing it with. But Allison is somebody who I’ve known for years and I’ve sang with many times on stage. She’s a dear friend and an artist who I have huge admiration and respect and love for. So, I asked if she would be up for it… I always had it in mind as a duet and always really wanted to sing with Allison. So I’m delighted that we’re on the road together now, too. It’s all kind of just worked out in a really lovely way that we’re getting to sing it every night.” Of all the attention that is coming her way, he said, “I’m delighted, and she so deserves this.”
Russell spoke with PvNew last year about her acclaimed “Returner” album — read that interview here — and about the “Demons” music video she did with director Ethan Tobman (read here).
