Prime Video continues to expand its game show output, announcing two more new shows on Tuesday at Amazon’s upfronts presentation: “Buy It Now,” hosted by JB Smoove (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”) and the holiday-themed event “Wish List Games” hosted by Nick Cannon (“The Masked Singer”). Both feature tie ins to Amazon’s shopping portals.
“Buy It Now” and “Wish List Games” comes on top of “Pop Culture Jeopardy!” (also announced on Tuesday) and the upcoming “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?” hosted by Travis Kelce. Prime Video also has “Beast Games,” “The GOAT” (from Elon Gale and Lee Eisenberg) and “The 1% Club.”
“With the chance to win cash, prizes, or simply notoriety, competition and game series are the ultimate
wish fulfillment,” says Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD originals unscripted and targeted programming,
Amazon MGM Studios. “We are excited to expand our slate of classic, nostalgic titles and look forward to
making more dreams come true through our original IP. We are equally thrilled to have JB Smoove, Nick
Cannon and Travis Kelce as the talented hosts on these new series bringing humor, enthusiasm, and fun
to our global Prime Video customers.”

In the case of “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?,” Prime Video revealed the first batch of stars to appear on the show: Comedians Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, Nikki Glaser, and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais; “Vanderpump Rules” star Lala Kent; actress, writer, and producer Lilly Singh; and podcast host Sophia Stallone.
As for “Buy It Now,” the show has a connection to the “Buy It Now” feature on Amazon and the Prime app. In this case, entrepreneurs try to place their products on the function — if they can convince a live studio audience of 100 customers and a panel of business experts. Viewers will be able to shop the products featured on the show directly from their devices as they watch.
Winners will receive a cash prize “based on their pitch, ingenuity, and creativity.” Hosted by JB Smoove, “Buy It Now” comes from Studio Lambert and Amazon MGM Studios, and is exec produced by Susan House, Jack Burgess, Tim Harcourt, and Stephen Lambert.
From MGM Alternative, “Wish List Games” (which will run for multiple episodes during the holidays) features contestants playing for items on their Amazon wish list, up to $25,000. They’ll play various games, leading to a final round where the winning contestant plays to win a prize for everyone in the audience.
Besides host Nick Cannon, the show will festure content creator Lele Pons as a special correspondent. Alycia Rossiter is showrunner and executive producer; Sean Kelly and Steve Hughes are co-executive
producers.
