Former Endeavor Content and WME Independent executive Nelson Mok has joined forces with Asian TV veteran Ricky Ow to launch Mokster Films. The company positions itself as an investment and sales company for Asia-produced content.
The company will be involved in rights sales, film development and film financing. Its “strategic emphasis is on the growth of the film industry across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan,” the company said. Mokster and Mok will also continue to work as a partner to WME Independent on a slate of current titles.
Mokster Films will be at the Cannes Market next week, where it expects to unveil projects from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand.

Mok joined Endeavor Content in 2019 and later transited to WME Independent in 2021. During his tenure, he handled a diverse range of films from Indonesia, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam, including notable projects such as“The Bridge Curse”franchise,“Backstage,”“Dominion of Darkness,”“Furies,”“Red Thread,”“The Cursed Land” and this year’s biggest box office hit in Thailand,“How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies,” which is on track for theatrical releases across Asia.
Ricky Ow, who will operate as an advisor, is one of the biggest names in Asian television with a career that spans stints at WarnerMedia, Turner and Sony Pictures. Last month it was announced that Ow is joining the board of directors at Asian streaming platform Viddsee.
