“Tulsa King” has expanded their cast. Neal McDonough has joined the second season of the Paramount+ series, portraying Cal Thresher, a powerful and extremely territorial businessman in Tulsa.

McDonough, known for his roles in “Band of Brothers,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Star Trek,” “American Horror Story,” “Suits” and “Yelllowstone,” joins the ensemble cast of Sylvester Stallone, Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Tatiana Zappardino, Garrett Hedlund, Dana Delany and Frank Grillo.

In addition to “Tulsa King,” McDonough is about to begin filming “The Last Rodeo,” which he wrote with his writing partner Derek Presley. He is also producing films with his wife for the McDonough Company.

Season 2 of “Tulsa King,” from MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 studios, began filming in Oklahoma and Atlanta and is slated to debut in the fall. The first season followed Stallone’s mafia capo Dwight Manfredi 25 years after he’s released from prison, attempting to rebuild a life — and create a new criminal empire.

“Tulsa King” is one of Paramount+’s most-watched series, ranked only behind Sheridan’s “1923.” Season 1, which debuted on the streaming service, will make its broadcast debut on CBS this summer. However, the show isn’t without its backlash. Last month, Stallone was accused of creating a “toxic environment” on set by making disparaging comments about background actors, leading to a casting director quitting. The actor, nor the network, commented on the allegations.

“Tulsa King” is executive produced by Stallone, Taylor Sheridan, Craig Zisk, Terence Winter, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Braden Aftergood and Keith Cox. Zisk serves as producing director for Season 2.
