Entropico, an Australian creative firm that last year enjoyed hit status with its first feature-length production, “ONEFOUR: Against All Odds,” is establishing its own film and TV unit Entropico Originals. The new shingle will have Sydney and Los Angeles outposts.
documentary feature “ONEFOUR: Against All Odds” is an examination of the drill rap phenomenon that is popular in Pacific Islander and working class parts of Australia, the genre’s most popular Australian group and the specialist police force that was set up to stop them performing live. The Gabriel Gasparinatos-directed film became the one of the most-watched movies on Netflix in Australia last year, adding to its cultural impact and popularity.
Entropico has been in business for a decade and positions itself as a “creative company, seamlessly bridging the realms of advertising and entertainment, with clients including brands, creative agencies, broadcast platforms, labels, and artists.”

The company’s founder and CCO Erin Moy is joined on the Entropico Originals team by Christian Polsinelli in Los Angeles as the firm’s head of alternative & experiential, and by Timothy Burnett in Sydney as head of scripted content.
“We’re excited to follow up the success of our feature debut and long history-making innovative short-form originals and branded content work with a slate of offbeat, energetic, and relevant originals,” said Moy, Entropico founder and CCO.
Titles and timings of the Entropico Originals slate were not disclosed. But the company said that it was in varied states of readiness with a lineup that includes: a heartwarming animated kids series; a feature-length psychological serial killer thriller; a history-defining running documentary; a genre-defying competition series; and, in the reality TV space, an exciting new take dating shows.
Polsinelli brings over 14 years of television production experience to Entropico, having spent much of his career producing TV shows for major networks such as ABC, NBC, and Fox. He has various credits on shows including “American Idol,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “World of Dance,” “America’s Got Talent” and “The X Factor.”
His inaugural project at Entropico was “Game On,” a two-hour interactive livestream commissioned by YouTube. The show captured over 8 million viewers in its first week and earned two Webbys last year.
Burnett moves across from Entropico’s branded content and creative production operations to lead the development of scripted series and features. Prior to joining Entropico seven years ago, Burnett worked on feature films in New York with Schuyler Weiss’ former production company Tandem Pictures. He is now developing scripted projects including co-writing a feature with actor Luke Bracey (“Elvis,” “Little Fires Everywhere”).
“At the heart of all the scripted projects we are working on, are stories that have an international appeal, have rich, diverse, and complex characters, and have a narrative angle to them that might feel slightly counter-intuitive,” said Burnett.
Entropico’s past short-form releases include: 2018’s “Blue frame,” which found an art-obsessed audience at Hobart’s MONA, London’s Serpentine Cinema and Berlin’s The Long Now; 2021’s “By Lucas Wilson,” which played at the Sydney Film Festival and the Chicago International Film Festival; and 2022’s short documentary film “Through the Fire,” which won a Bronze Lion award last year at the Cannes Lions.
