The upcoming Amazon Prime Video series “The Bondsman” starring Kevin Bacon has added four new cast members, PvNew has learned exclusively.
Beth Grant (“No Country For Old Men,” “Donnie Darko”), Damon Herriman (“once Upon A Time in Hollywood”, “Justified”), Maxwell Jenkins (“Arcadian,” “Lost In Space”) and Jolene Purdy (“The White Lotus,” “Orange Is The New Black”) have all joined the show in series regular roles. Aside from Bacon, they join previously announced cast member Jennifer Nettles.
“The Bondsman” was ordered straight-to-series at Prime Video back in June 2023 for eight half-hour episodes. The official logline states that it centers on Hub Halloran (Bacon), “a backwoods bounty hunter who comes back from the dead with an unexpected second chance at life, love, and a nearly-forgotten musical career — only to find that his old job now has a demonic new twist.”
Grant will play Kitty, the mother of Hub Halloran. Herriman will appear as Lucky, described as “the owner of a successful country music club, who is in a relationship with Maryanne (Nettles), Hub’s ex-wife.”
Jenkins will play Cade, the son of Hub and Maryanne. Purdy is set to portray Midge, who is said to be “weary with the understated gravitas of someone who’s learned the hard way how to hold her ground in a male-dominated world. Midge may look unassuming but she’s actually a secret emissary.”
Grant is repped by Buchwald. Herriman is repped by Independent Artist Group and Art/Work Entertainment in the U.S., and in Australia by Lisa Mann Creative Management. Jenkins is repped by Gilbertson Entertainment, Innovative Artists, and Myman Greenspan. Purdy is repped by Apparent Motion and Integral Artists.
Grainger David created “The Bondsman” and serves as an executive producer. Erik Oleson is the executive producer and showrunner via his company Crimethink. Bacon will executive produce in addition to starring. Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold and Chris Dickie executive produce for Blumhouse Television. Paul Shapiro of CrimeThink also executive produces.
