Two years after the hit Amazon Prime Video superhero series aired its Season 3 finale, “The Boys” will finally be back in town.
The fourth season of Amazon’s Emmy-winning drama “The Boys” will debut with three episodes June 13. Comprised of eight episodes total, “The Boys” Season 4 will air with new installments dropping weekly through its season finale on July 18.
Per the official description for new season of “The Boys”: “In Season Four, the world is on the brink. Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
“The Boys” stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and Cameron Crovetti.
Joining the cast for Season 4 are Susan Heyward, Valorie Curry and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (whose entrance marks the show’s latest “Supernatural” reunion).
“The Boys” is one of Amazon’s most prized IPs, with the franchise currently consisting of the main series and superhero college spinoff “Gen V,” which has been renewed for Season 2, as well as animated anthology “Diabolical” and a Spanish-language series that’s in the development stage.
The fourth season of “The Boys” was among the many TV and film titles delayed by the 2023 writers and actors strikes. However, fans were treated to spinoff series, “Gen V,” while “The Boys” was on hiatus, as production had been completed on the first season of that show before the work stoppages. “Gen V” also gave a few hints as to where the plot is headed in Season 4.
based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s bestselling comic book series, Amazon’s “The Boys” is led by showrunner Eric Kripke, who executive produces alongside Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Phil Sgriccia, Michaela Starr, Paul Grellong, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, Judalina Neira, Ken F. Levin and Jason Netter.
“The Boys” hails from Sony Pictures Television, Amazon MGM Studios with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film and Point Grey Pictures.
