Powerhouse “Saturday Night Live” alums Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunited for a revival of their “Weekend Update” co-anchor gig at Monday’s Emmy Awards on Fox and got a round of thunderous applause in the room before their bit began.

Because they were presenting the Emmy award for live variety special, they took the liberty of throwing out zingers about the noms in the “Update”-zinger style.

“The only show that’s longer than when they air ‘Titanic’ with commercials on TBS: The Oscars,” Poehler said.

“For ‘Chris Rock: Selective Outrage,’ Fey noted: “Chris could be here tonight, but if he wins, we’ll accept on his behalf, because we miss getting Emmys.”

“Now, I can’t speak for Elton, but he EGOT to be excited about it,” Poehler said of Elton John’s “Farewell From Dodger Stadium” special.

“The concert so good it got us all pregnant: The Apple Music Super Bowl 57 Halftime Show Starring Rihanna,” Fey joked.

And lastly, Poehler prefaced the 75th Tony Awards nom by calling it the show “celebrating the best in musicals based on movies that will probably be movies again” — with Fey (who just released her new film “Mean Girls,” based on the Broadway musical “Mean Girls,” based on her previous film “Mean Girls”) jumping in to say, “There’s nothing wrong with that!” and Poehler agreeing, “Absolutely.”

Elton John ended up the victor, and Fey and Poehler had the honor of bestowing the EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner) honor upon the legendary singer.

Fey and Poehler were far from the only iconic TV crew to reunite at the 75th Emmy Awards. Other casts that congregated on the stage before presenting awards included the stars of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Sopranos,” “Martin,” “Cheers” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.” Emmys host Anthony Anderson got in on the fun by opening the night with a medley of classic TV theme songs: “Good Times,” “The Facts of Life” and “Miami Vice.”

Former “SNL” cast members Fey and Poehler hosted NBC’s long-standing “SNL” news segment sketch “Weekend Update” together from 2004 to 2006. Prior to running that “SNL” staple with Poehler, Fey hosted alongside Jimmy Fallon from 2000 to 2004. Following Fey’s departure in 2006, Poehler co-anchored with Seth Meyers until 2008. Currently, “Weekend Update” is hosted by “SNL” cast members Colin Jost and Michael Che.
