Kurt Sutter’s upcoming western drama series “The Abandons” at Netflix has added six new cast members, PvNew has learned.
Nick Robinson (“Maid,” “A Teacher”), Diana Silvers (“Booksmart,” “Space Force”), Lucas Till (“X-Men” film franchise, “MacGyver”), Lamar Johnson (“The Last of Us,” “Brother”), Aisling Franciosi (“The Nightingale,” “God’s Creatures”), and Natalia del Riego (“Hail Mary,” “Promised Land”) have all joined the series.
They will star alongside previously announced star Lena Headey as well as Gillian Anderson. The official description of the series states:
“As a group of diverse, outlier families pursue their Manifest Destiny in 1850s Oregon, a corrupt force of wealth and power, coveting their land, tries to force them out. These abandoned souls, the kind of lost souls living on the fringe of society, unite their tribes to form a family and fight back. In this bloody process, ‘justice’ is stretched beyond the boundaries of the law.”
Headey will play Fiona Nolan, while Anderson will play Constance Van Ness. Robinson will play Elias Teller, while Silvers will play Dahlia Teller. Till will play Garret Van Ness, with Franciosi playing Trisha Van Ness. Johnson will play Albert Mason, and del Riego will play Lilla Belle.
Netflix has given “The Abandons” a 10-episode order. Kurt Sutter created the show and will serve as showrunner and executive producer under his SutterInk production banner. Emmy Grinwis will also executive produce along with Jon Paré. Stephen Surjik will serve as director and executive producer, while Otto Bathurst will direct the first episode and executive produce.
