Travis Kelce confirmed to reporters in Las Vegas ahead of Super Bowl Sunday that he has heard some of Taylor Swift‘s just-announced new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” and he has nothing but raves for the Grammy winner’s next era.
“I have heard some of it. It is unbelievable,” Kelce said during a Super Bowl press evening at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. “I can’t wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops.”
Kelce said he was able to watch the 2024 Grammy Awards on his phone as soon as he landed in Las Vegas, where his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will face off against the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. Swift made Grammys history at the ceremony by winning album of the year for “Midnights,” her fourth win in the top category. She’s now the artist with the most album of the year wins. Swift also used the Grammys to surprise announce “The Tortured Poets Department.”
“I was fortunate enough that we landed right in Las Vegas just in time for me to turn [the Grammys] on my phone and catch her winning her 13th award and announcing the new album,” Kelce told press. “And then obviously the big one at the end, winning album of the year for a fourth time. It’s pretty amazing.”
“She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books,” he also said about Swift during the press conference. “I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too. Taylor has an unbelievable fan base that follows her and supports her throughout her life, and it’s been fun to gather the Swifties and Chiefs Kingdom and open them up to the football world and the sports world.”

Post Malone and Florence and the Machine will be featured on the album as well.
Many Swift fans expected the singer to formally announce “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” at the Grammys, but she threw a huge curveball by announcing an entirely new album instead.
